Medium bio (100 words)

David Ramirez is the author of The Divine Journey Trilogy: three quiet books on self-discovery, awakening, and the dream of life. He writes about the inner work most spiritual writing skips over: the patient practice of catching what we believe about ourselves, softening what no longer serves, and remembering who was always underneath. Through his Divine Karma project he shares daily reflections, gives talks like The Real You, and has launched a companion intuition training app called Inkling (live on iOS; Android coming). He writes for readers who are tired of louder spiritual voices and want something honest, ordinary, and closer to home.

Long bio (300 words)

David Ramirez is the author of The Divine Journey Trilogy, a three-book series on self-discovery, awakening, and the dream of life. The trilogy, comprising The Journey of Self Discovery, A Journey Towards Enlightenment, and The Dream of Life, traces a single arc of inner work, written without jargon, without pedestal, and without the rush.

For most of his life, David was looking for something. He grew up around spiritual practice and big questions and spent years chasing answers in teachings, books, and conversations with anyone who seemed to know more than he did. The real shift came not in a teacher's room but in stillness: the recognition, embarrassing in its simplicity, that what he had been searching for had been with him the whole time.

That recognition became the trilogy. Each book is a hand extended to anyone walking the same road, an invitation to question old beliefs, soften the judgment we carry, and finally meet the one person we all spend our lives avoiding. Alongside the books, David gives talks like The Real You, where he asks audiences to set down the masks we carry and rediscover what's underneath. He has also launched Inkling, a daily training app for intuition, focus, and emotional attunement — live on iOS with the Android version on the way. It is the companion to the inner work the books begin.

He writes for readers tired of spiritual inflation, of jargon that doesn't help, of voices that perform certainty they don't have. His message is the same in print and in person: you are not broken, you are not behind, and the doorway home is closer than you think.

Speaking topics

Available for podcasts, panel conversations, retreats, and book club Q&As.

The Real You: setting down the masks we carry

David's signature talk. A quiet, honest hour on the masks most of us wear in public, in private, and even with ourselves, and the slow, ordinary work of letting them go. Suitable for podcasts, retreats, conferences, and book club gatherings.

Coming home to yourself: what spiritual awakening actually means

An accessible introduction to the heart of the trilogy: awakening as recognition rather than achievement. Written for audiences new to spiritual writing as much as for longtime seekers who feel the limits of where they've been looking.

Karma without the cliches: what the word actually means

A short talk that strips the word "karma" of its self-help baggage and looks at what it has meant across traditions: cause and effect, accumulated belief, the slow shaping of who we become. A favorite for spiritual podcasts and interfaith panels.

Why I built Inkling: training intuition as a daily discipline

The story of how a books project led to an app. A talk on intuition, focus, and emotional attunement as trainable human capacities, not paranormal claims. And what it looks like to take subtle perception seriously without losing your footing.
